Gynaecology in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Selected Texts

Editorial Notes

1. The font color for general text is white; light green for formulae, and blue-grey for marginalia.

2. Emphasis marks and punctuation marks in the original texts, such as ? ?, have not been represented in the transcription.

3. If a character in the original is a simplified character, the simplified character is used, such as 蔥 (葱), 腳 (腳), 脈 (脉); if a character could not be found in NJStar, but another form of the word (Yiti Zi) exists, the alternative one is provided in curly brackets, such as {脅}﹑{妊}﹑{澀}.

4. If an obviously wrong character was found in the text, the corrected character is provided in square brackets [ ] following the wrong character; if a character was found in the text which was not representable using NJStar, it is identified by < X >. And for some words, the correct one is provided in square brackets [ ] following the < X >. In this case, usually the word cannot be found in a standard dictionary, but the editor believes it to be appropriate.

5. For characters which are illegible due to faulty printing or wear, < ? > is used.
